The much-anticipated collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan in their debut film together, "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke," has made an impressive mark at the box office, raking in a remarkable INR22.5 crore net during its opening weekend. While it received mixed reviews upon its release, with some describing it as fun but lacking engagement, the film has certainly made an impact at the box office with its strong opening weekend performance.

The film, which hit theaters on Friday, commenced with a solid opening of INR5.49 crore and witnessed a notable growth of INR7.20 crore on Saturday. The positive momentum continued on Sunday as "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke" earned INR9.90 crores, resulting in a cumulative weekend collection of INR22.59 crore at the domestic box office. Esteemed trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the exciting news, stating, "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke swims to the winning post, goes from strength to strength in weekend 1... National chains excellent, mass pockets join the party on Day 3... All eyes on the make-or-break Monday... Friday INR5.49 crore, Saturday INR7.20 crore, Sunday INR9.90 crore. Total: INR22.59 crore. Taran Adarsh further elaborated on the film's impressive growth over the weekend, including the collection figures from multiplexes. In a series of tweets, he revealed, "Day-wise growth/decline: Saturday growth 31.15 percent. Sunday growth 37.50 percent. The national chains on Day 1, 2, and 3... Total: INR3.35 crore/INR4.55 crore/INR5.75 crore." Taran also highlighted the impact of the Buy-1-Get-1 ticket offer for the film and drew a comparison with another movie, "Shehzada," which had a similar promotion but failed to perform well at the box office. Released in February 2023, Taran expressed, "Let's get one thing straight... Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has found acceptance by the movie-going audience... Moreover, Taran emphasized that no incentive or concession can save a film from sinking if it faces rejection from the audience. Referring to "Shehzada" starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, he stated, "If the Buy-1-Get-1 [BOGO] free ticket offer was a foolproof strategy to lure viewers or make any film successful, then 'Shehzada' would've started with a bang on Day 1... That film failed to take off, despite this incentive on its opening day."
